    • An outbreak of acute pharyngo conjunctival fever occured in a district of Beijing China,in August of 1984.Over 4,000 Pre-school and school children(aged6to13)were affected,and over 80% of the Patients had a history of swiming.Clinically,the illness was characterized by higd fever (39.5-41℃),pharyngitis,conjunctivitis,headache often associated with vomiting.20 samples(10 eye secretions and 10 throat swabs)from 10 patients with typical clinical signs of the illness were collected for virus isolation.14 strain...
