Tentative Studies on the Granulosis Virus Disease of Iragoides conjuncta Walker (Lep.: cochlidiidae)
Abstract: A granulosis virus was isolated from dead larvae of Iragoides conjuncta Walker from jujube trees in Fei Cheng, August 1981. Under electron microscope the granular bodies were shown to be elliptic, oval in shape and the size of 200—250×300—400nm. The virus particles liberated from the granular bodies in 2% NaOH were rod shape and curved slightly, with rounded end, measuring 150—200×30—35nm. This virus belongs to subgroup B of Baculovirus, terms IcGV. Bioassay conducted in the laboratory showed that the mediu...
