  • The Masson-pine caterpillar is the most serious pest of pinus spp. in southern China. we obtained a CPV of the masson-pine caterpillar (DCPV)in the Guang-zhou district in 1974. The polyhedra of DCPV are hexagonal in shape but vary in size from 0.5 to 6 μm in diameter. The virus particles are hexagonal in shape and range from 42 to 56 nm in diameter, we have been engaged in this research for ten years.
