Abstract: Sc. inoculation of neonatal guinea pigs with guinea pig cytomegalovirus (GPCMV)resulted in acute infection of thymus. Infectious virus could be recovered from the thymus of infected animals at 5 days postinfection and the highest titers ef infections virus appeared at 10 days postinfection.
