Abstract: C57BL/6 mice were infected intraperitoneally by murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV).Secretion of virus from salivary glands was positive up to 102 days.From 6 to 32 days after infection, no interferon(IFN)activity could be detected in all collectcd serum samples. However, spleen cells from these infected mice still responded to IFN inducers in vitro.
