HUMAN CYTOMECALOVIRUS LATENCY IN HUMAN EMBRYONIC FORESKIN CELLS IN VITRO
Abstract: Human cytomegalovirus(HCMV)latency model in human embryonic foreskin cells(HEF)was established with 500ng/ml of Tunicamycin(TM) which is a glucosamine-containing antibiotic that specifically inhibits glycosylation of proteins. Toxic effects in confluent monolayer cultures occurred when more than 500ng/ml of TM was used.
