    • The human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) strain AD_(169) was inoculated into SL_7 cells. Between the 3rd and 4th day postinfeetion, the capsids were assembled in the nucleus and budded through the nuclear membrane. From the perinuclear cisterns, the enveloped particles migrated into the cytoplasm. At this stage the virions were formed. At the 4th day most of the capsids closely associated with a skein-like material, namely typical nuclear inclusion, were observed. It may be the site of viral synthesis. Concurrent w...
