Protection Effecf of CMV--satellite RNA Biological Control Agent on Productive Tobacco in the Field

  • Satellite contained CMV, the biological control agent, was applied on pro-ductive tobacco variety in field to control diseases caused by CMV. Incidenceof the treated plants decreased 84.9--86.4%, harvest time showed 5 daysearly, high quality tobacco incresed 151.3--173.5%, and income in a unitarea increased 43.3--65.7%. Moreover, the biological control agent was foundto improve tobacco resistance to fungal infection.
