Analysis of Molecular Characteristics of Goose Parvovirus Strain HG5/82
Abstract: Non-structural and structural genes of Goose parvovirus (GPV) HG5/82 strain were amplified using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method and cloned into the pMD18-T vector, respectively. The two fragments were sequenced and analyzed with reference GPV strains and Muscovy duck parvovirus(MDPV) strains. The results showed that the GPV ns gene is 1884bp and encoding 627 amino acids. The vp gene of HG5/82 strain is 2199bp and encoding 732 amino acids. The identity of partial VP3 genes between HG5/82 and MDPV is higher than that between GPV and other members of Parvovirinae. These results were also proved by the analysis of the VP3 gene. The high identity between GPV HG5/82 and MDPV indicated that they would be derived from the same ancestor.
