Virologica Sinica (VS) just received the first impact factor of 2.357 from the 2018 update of Journal Citation Reports (JCR) released by Clarivate Analytics, which ranks the journal 21/35 in the Virology category.

“This first impact factor is a big step for the journal,” said the Editor-in-Chief Prof. Zheng-Li Shi, “Today’s achievement would not have been possible without the superb dedication of my colleagues serving and ever served on the VS Editorial Board, and the authors who chose VS to publish their exciting research.”

Virologica Sinica was established in 1986. For a broader international audience, the journal switched to English language publishing in 2007. The journal dedicates to publish peer-reviewed articles to present the latest developments in all branches of virology, including research on animal, plant and microbe viruses. In addition to its thorough peer-review process and rapid publication schedule, VS commits to provide excellent editorial service to facilitate the scientific communication, such as free publishing and free language editing.

Till June 2018, Virologica Sinica has published 703 English articles for more than 2000 authors from over 500 institutions in 50 countries all over the world. Downloads and citations of the journal articles are in continuous increase year by year.
