BIOASSAY OF A NUCLEAR POLYHEDROSIS VIRUS OF THE TEA LOOPER, BUZURA SUPPRESSARIA, PROPAGATED IN CELLS GROWN IN VITRO
Abstract: Bioassay of a Nuclear Polyhedrosis Virus propagated either in vivo or vitro was conducted on third-instar Buzura suppressaria larvae which were reared on an artificial diet contaminated with virus, The regression equation between dosage and mortality were:Y=3.1815+0.697XY=3.2000+0.665XThe LD_(50) value and 95% fiducial limits were 4.0753×10~2 (9.0675×10~2)(1.7361×10~2)PIB/g of diet and 5.0898×10~2(1.2411×10~3)(2.0874×10~2) PIB/g of diet,respectively.The LT_(50) value for 4×10~5PIB/g of diet were 4.7168 days...
