Abstract: Wheat soil-borne virus diseases in Ya an, Sichuan and Chang an, Shanxi (PRC) were caused by wheat spindle streak mosaic virus (WSSMV) and those in Anji and Xichang. Zhejiang and Yixing, Jiangsu were caused by complex of WSSMV and soil-borne whoat mosaic virus (SBWMV)infection Both viruses could co-infect the same wheat plant but independently distributed inside infected cells.
